hello! i’m sarah

a jack-of-all-trades entertainment professional in Chicago

who am i?

I am an emerging arts professional specializing in technical production, live audio, and production management. I’m from Frederick County, Maryland, and I’m based in Chicago, Illinois. I freelance around the Chicagoland area and have worked with various arts organizations in both admin and production roles, from video crews to archiving.

I have been a working technician for eight years at a wide array of venues, from EDM festivals to pro wrestling to regional theaters. It has significantly informed my work ethic; I love learning how and why things work.

Soon, I will be an alum of The Theatre School at DePaul University, where I pursued a degree in Theatre Management with minors in Business Administration and Philosophy. Magna cum laude.

a few things I like:

  • I am a competitive swimmer and an overall gym rat

  • I have an encyclopedic knowledge of professional wrestling

  • My favorite drink is Pineapple Orange Guava juice

  • we, the invisibles by Susan Soon He Stanton - Mar. 2025

As the second-ever student Production Manager on a mainstage at DePaul University, I worked closely with our stage management team throughout the production process, creating paperwork such as production and tech calendars and contact sheets, and leading production meetings.

  • Archiving and Database Design for The Neo-Futurists

In an internship with The Neos, I created a new database for their weekly logs of new works for their flagship show “The Infinite Wrench” and worked with their staff archivist to catalogue plays dating back to 1998. I was invited to curate some of my favorite finds from the archive; this was displayed in their space for nearly a year.

  • The Lieutenant's Dream by Janie Killips and Dean Corrin - Nov. 2025

Assisted the staff Production Manager in ensuring a smooth workflow for the team on this production and safety for audience members across four floors and seventeen different performance spaces. This is the largest-scale production in the school’s history.
